The Amtech MOD 10 Ultrasonic Wire Splicer will join a bundle of copper wires together, up to a total of 35mm2 cross section. It can also be used to 'tip', or solidify, the end of a stranded copper wire, prior to insertion into a screw terminal. The controller has a user friendly touchscreen interface, and a high level of programmability and quality checking features for fast job change-over and high quality repeatable welds. All critical splice parameters are monitored during the welding process.
The MOD 10 is a table mounted unit, to allow comfortable positioning of heavy wire harnesses. A sequence of different splices can be programmed for such applications, as the tooling width is adjusted automatically to optimise each splice.
