The Amtech Ultraseal 20 Ultrasonic Welder cuts and seals copper tubing up to 12mm in diameter in one quick safe process. This is ideal for applications such as sealing off the tubing of a refrigeration compressor after charging. This eliminates open flame brazing or soldering, and perfoms the task safely without any particular skill on the operator's part, and with no consumable usage. For explosive category environments, the Ultraseam 20 EX is available. The tooling can be configured to seal off both cut ends of the tube if required, to prevent the escape of gas during and after the welding process.
The Ultraseal is designed to be suspended from a counter-balance, so it can be used on a continuous production line, and moved into any position to access the tubing in the back of a refrigerator, for example. It can be operated easily by a left or right handed operator. The controller has a user friendly touchscreen interface, and a high level of programmability and quality checking features for fast job change-over and high quality repeatable welds.
